The diligent work of a Woolworths employee has been praised by thousands of Aussies online after his perfectly arranged freezer section went viral in a video that has garnered over nine million views.

The video filmed and uploaded by Sarah Mae Ahern and her brother shows off the immaculate shelf-stacking skills of a Woolworths Ormeau employee.

Viewers were quick to identify the mystery worker as Nigel, who has been employed at the Gold Coast store for nearly 20 years.

“Yesss I work not far from this Woolies and no matter what time I go in the frozen section is like this EVERYTIME. Not only that but the whole store itself is legit stacked so nice,” one commenter wrote.

“Nigel deserves a raise,” another viewer said.

“So many people are just like, this is scratching an itch I didn’t even know I had... People are just really appreciating the work,” Ahern said.

Nigel’s colleagues revealed he’s been perfecting his technique for years, with the freezer section being his favourite area.

“People try to recreate it and he comes in on his days off and he’s like, no, no, no, you haven’t done it right,” a colleague said.

“All the team are so proud of him and we’re all behind him and it’s excellent that he’s getting that recognition.”

While Woolworths isn’t offering a pay rise, the public has taken matters into their own hands, launching a fundraiser for the dedicated worker.

“We’re just going to put it out there and see what happens. Like, if we could raise a really large sum of money and give it to this guy and change his life, that would be so amazing,” Ahern said.
