A car has been launched into the air and slammed into the side of a bus during a wild crash on Wednesday.

Pictures from the scene showed the Toyota Yaris lodged deep into the bus, which was empty at the time, except for the driver.

“Good thing there were no passengers on the bus at the time because it would have been disastrous,” one person commenting on a 7NEWS Facebook post said.

Another said: “It is so lucky no one was on the bus.”

The crash happened at the intersection of Beaudesert Rd and Granard Rd in Archerfield, Brisbane about 6.30pm.

No serious injuries were reported, Queensland police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
