Southern Cross Media Group has announced leadership changes following its recent merger with Seven West Media.

Jeff Howard today stepped down as chief executive and managing director with the company now launching a global search to find his replacement. Heith Mackay-Cruise will assume the role of executive chairman as part of the restructure.

John Kelly has been appointed as the interim chief executive of TV and Audio while the search for a permanent CEO takes place.

The leadership changes come as the media group navigates its integration with Seven West Media in one of the industry’s most significant recent mergers.
