A man has died after an early‑morning collision between an e‑scooter and a truck at a busy Adelaide intersection, with police locating the truck and its alleged driver at a building site kilometres away.
Emergency crews were called to Park Terrace and Salisbury Highway at Salisbury in Adelaide’s northern suburbs about 6.30am on Tuesday after reports of a crash involving a e-scooter and a truck.

The rider — a 36‑year‑old Salisbury North man — died at the scene.
Police allege the truck continued driving after the impact.
Officers later found the vehicle and the alleged driver at a Yatala Vale building site, about 12km away from the crash.

The driver, a 23‑year‑old Mount Torrens man, is assisting detectives.
The intersection was shut down for hours as police investigated the scene, with roads reopening just after 1.30pm.
The man’s death marks the 69th life lost on South Australian roads this year.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash — or who has dashcam from the area — to come forward.
