A teenager motorcycle rider has died after being hit by a learner driver on NSW’s south coast.
Emergency crews rushed to the intersection of Shellharbour Rd and Woodlands Rd in Barrack Heights, Shellharbour, after calls of a serious crash about 4.30pm on Saturday.
Police said a 16-year-old boy on his L-plates was driving a Toyota SUV when the car collided with a motorcycle, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike.

The rider, an 18-year-old man, was treated by paramedics at the scene for life-threatening injuries and taken to Wollongong Hospital in a critical condition.
The rider sadly could not be saved and was declared dead a short time later.
The learner driver and his supervisor were both uninjured and taken to shellharbour Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway, police said.
