A man has been seriously injured in a gas explosion in Western Sydney.
Emergency services were called to a home on Grevillea Rd in Chester Hill about 12.30pm on Monday following multiple reports of loud bangs and smoke.
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said there was no active fire when crews arrived, but one person had sustained serious injuries.

The man, aged in his 50s, suffered burns to his face and shrapnel injuries to his leg, NSW Ambulance said.
He was rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
FRNSW said early indications suggest the explosion may have been linked to a welding accident, with the gas bottle itself not exploding.
Specialist HAZMAT firefighters conducted atmospheric testing using gas detectors, and no issues or hazards were identified.
