A man has been fatally shot by police following an incident at a home in Brisbane’s east.
Initial reports suggest the man was armed with a knife and approached officers when they attended the property on Thurston St, Tingalpa, on Tuesday morning, 7NEWS.com.au understands.
Police and ambulance crews remain on scene, and Thurston St is closed between Belmont Rd and Loughrea St.

Police shootings are routinely reviewed by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
The incident comes after two police shootings in NSW, with a man shot in the shoulder during an arrest in Newcastle on Tuesday morning, and another man shot dead in Sydney’s Potts Point just a few hours later.
