A terrifying mass shooting has unfolded at a crowded food festival in Seattle.

A gunman opened fire near the city’s iconic Space Needle.

One food vender captured the panic when the gunshots rung out, with people screaming :get down get down”.

People could be seen fleeing and ducking for cover in the background.

Seattle Police have locked down the area and said they were “investigating a shooting involving multiple victims at Seattle Center”.

Its unclear how many people have been shot or if the gunman has been arrested.

Local news site Komo News is reporting two people are dead and five others, including a two-year-old child, are injured.
