A young boy who was found wandering alone on a suburban street in Sydney’s southwest on Christmas Day has been safely reunited with his parents.

The child was located on Mt Annan Drive at Mt Annan about 10.10am on Thursday.

Police had earlier spoken with nearby residents and members of the public, but were unable to locate his parents or carers, and appealed for public assistance.

NSW Police confirmed about 2.30pm that the boy’s parents were found.
